What is the Bible Engagement Project? This is a initiative to help kids and families develop a solid understanding of the Bible by going through the whole Bible and providing resources for parents to lead at home. Sunday morning Elementary and Preschool ministries will start the Bible Engagement Project by using a curriculum called “Listen.” This is an age-aligned curriculum so your preschoolers and Elementary age children will be learning the same content as we go through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation in 40 weeks. Over these 40 weeks we will focus on “Listening” to what God is teaching through the Bible. This is designed to be a resource for families so 4 daily devotions are delivered on an app that coincide with the content from Sunday.

Why are we doing the Bible Engagement Project?  As Christians, we want to have our lives built on the solid foundation of God’s Word.  If we want to know truth, absolute truth, we need to know God’s Word. Although 87% of Americans have a Bible in their homes, only 1 in 5 have ever read the whole thing.  We don’t want to just teach kids the Bible, we want to resource families with the tools to study and understand the Bible together.

How you can use this in your home?  There is an app that families can download on any device that gives access to 4 daily devotions each week.  These devotions go along with what will be taught in our preschool and elementary areas on Sunday mornings.  Research shows that the lives of thos who engage with God’s Word at least 4 times a week are radically different than those who don’t.  If fact, studies show that the lives of Christians who don’t engage with the Bible often no different than those of non-believers. Download the app below, and then use the devotions with your family each week.
