unshaken Youth (Grades 7-12)
In the modern world, there are so many challenges and struggles that this generation faces. As students walk the halls of school, they are met with opposition to the Christian faith, and they are in danger of the Enemy choking out the word of God that has been planted in their lives.
Unshaken Youth is a ministry designed for teens to know Jesus personally and to show students how to live out their faith practically in their lives. There will be questions and struggles they face, but our vision is that as each student graduates high school and moves into the real world, they will be able to walk out of the youth group Unshaken in their faith in Jesus. The apostle Paul describes this same desire for the Corinthians in the letter he wrote:
“6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. 7 Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.” - 2 Cor 1:6-7 ESV
At Unshaken Youth, the vision for our students is the same as the Apostle Paul: For our hope to be unshaken for students and for students to walk into the world completely unshaken. For students to become unshaken in their faith, they must know 3 key things
They are Embraced by their Heavenly Father
They can Encounter the Holy Spirit
They are Empowered to be Christ’s witnesses
God cares for each and every one of the youth of Aberdeen SD, and whether they are new to Christianity or have been in church for their whole lives, Unshaken Youth welcomes all. Join us Wednesday Nights at 7pm and Sunday Mornings at 9:30am

Youth Conference
Hundreds of students from across South Dakota come together for this 3-day event in November to seek Jesus. Held in Sioux Falls, SDAG Youth Conference features cutting edge services with an inspiring speaker and worship team. Lives are always changed because of this event. This is also a great time of the year where we grow together as a group, with lots of fun activities we do together as a group as we hangout in Sioux Falls.

summer camp
Every June, Unshaken Youth ventures to the Black Hills for a week of summer camp. This is a time for students to disconnect from the noisy world we live in and connect with God and with friends. Students will get to engage in powerful services, daily devotions, crazy competitions, and lots of fun in great outdoors. It is a unique experience where we can get away from the world and just focus on God and each other.

Fine ARts
Every March, students have the opportunity to discover, develop and deploy their talents to bring glory to God. Fine Arts includes a wide range of categories including instrumental, vocal, drama, rapping, writing, drawing, designing, film/photography, etc. Students who do well in this festival have the opportunity to present their piece at the national level in August, and have the opportunity for scholarships to colleges. Fine Arts is an amazing event for students, as they can learn their gifts and develop them to better know their calling!
Speed the light & missions trips
At Unshaken Youth we believe in giving to missions. Each year we raise money for Speed the Light which is a project-based ministry that helps all people of the world come to a relationship with Jesus. This year has many different projects we are tackling, including:
Brett and Daniella Leininger (Missionaries to Hungary)
Project Rescue (2 different projects)
World Serve (Ethiopia, Ministry center for women/children, and water wells)

We also believe in going. Each year we offer one or more opportunities to travel overseas or across the nation on missions trips to reach people in need of the good news of Jesus Christ. To learn more about missions trip options, contact Pastor Sterling or call the church office at 605-225-5322
